During her long career in theatre as a Dialect Coach, Theatre Artist and Voice and Speech Trainer, Janet Rodgers has continued to be devoted to the highest principles of the art of theatre and to helping actors achieve their best performances.
As a Dialect Coach, she has developed an efficient approach to coaching American and foreign dialects. This approach has been successful for both the beginning and the experienced actor.
Her work with Frankie Armstrong has been a major focus of her research, writing and workshops. The book that she co-wrote with Frankie, Acting and Singing with Archetypes, is a guide for artists of all disciplines who wish to expand their palate of creative artistic choices.
Janet is available for guest residences at theatres and universities.
Studio 2424 West Main is where Janet conducts much of her teaching. It was founded in 2013 by Janet and Elyse Jolley for the purpose of creating an inviting space where creativity and a sense of community takes place through explorations of voice, movement and language. It is a studio that brings together artists of all disciplines.
